Skiing Last Spike, North America's longest ski run.
Skiing Last Spike, North America's longest ski run.

There are a lot of long ski runs around the world, and nailing down the longest can be pretty difficult. Whether you consider off-piste trails or just on-piste trails can change the title, and whether or not the run has to be one continuously named route can change the title. While visiting the United States, German ski instructor Marius Quast took on Last Spike at Revelstoke, a run that he claims is the longest in North America.

Again, whether or not Last Spike is the longest is a bit of a controversial subject. Many sources claim it as such, but Revelstoke doesn’t actually list a length for the run on their website. Quast puts it at 11km (~6.8 miles), though other places list it as 12km (~7.5 miles). It is pretty certain that Last Spike is a very long run, offering some gorgeous views and fantastic turns on the way down.
