Summer skiing at Banff Sunshine Village.
Summer skiing at Banff Sunshine Village.

Banff Sunshine Village is currently offering some of the only summer skiing and snowboarding in Canada, with Strawberry Express and Standish Express chairlifts spinning every day until July 5th. Lift tickets currently cost $80 for adults without specific season-pass based discounts, but those hoping to get on snow for less should throw on a denim outfit and head to the Alberta resort this Wednesday, July 1st.

In an effort to set a record for the most Canadian Tuxedos shredding down Strawberry in one moment, Banff is offering $40 lift tickets to those wearing a denim-on-denim tuxedo this Wednesday. That’s half off the standard adult ticket price. If you participate, head to the top of Strawberry at 1pm for the official Canadian Tuxedo Parade.

According to their grooming report, Banff Sunshine Village currently has 8 runs open, all of which have been groomed. Both Sunshine Mountain Lodge and the Chimney Corner restaurant are open for dining, but the ski school, rentals, and day care are closed. If you’re planning to make the trip and need rentals, head to Sunshine Village’s list of nearby open retailers here.

Guests with a 2026/27 Sunshine Season Pass, SkiBig3 Season Pass, Rocky Mountain Passport, or staying at Sunshine Mountain Lodge ski for free. Midweek pass holders for 2026/27 can access the mountain Monday through Thursday, while 2025/26 Sunshine Season Pass, SkiBig3, and Rocky Mountain Passport holders receive 50% off tickets.

Those with 2025/26 and 2026/27 Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective passes also qualify for 50% off. Full-price tickets run $80 for adults, $50 for youth and seniors, and $30 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under ski free.
