Centennial, Wyoming — The Ikon Pass has been doing out-of-the-ordinary things to grow its network. This has included introducing bonus partner mountains, which offer two days at various ski resorts. This includes Buck Hill and Wild Mountain in Minnesota, and Cranmore in New Hampshire.
For next winter, passholders of a Wyoming ski area will get discounts on one of Ikon’s marquee products.
Recently, Snowy Range Ski Area announced that they’re partnering with Ikon Pass for the 2026-27 season. However, this isn’t adding Snowy Range to the Ikon Pass. Rather, unlimited season passholders at Snowy Range get 50% off Ikon Session 3-day passes. This replaces the Steamboat 5-day add-on that was previously offered. While it gets you fewer Steamboat days, it does give you access to other Ikon destinations like Arapahoe Basin and Winter Park.
The partnership is thanks to its already existing relationship with Steamboat Resort. You could argue that Snowy Range is a feeder hill for the large Colorado ski resort, which brings in skiers from Wyoming who are closer to it than to Jackson Hole.
It’s unclear whether this partnership will expand. It’s very plausible that Snowy Range becomes a bonus mountain for Ikon, but becoming a full partner doesn’t seem likely due to its size. For now, Snowy Range passholders get a nice discount on top of access to one of Wyoming’s hidden gems. For Ikon, it shows a possible route for converting skiers and riders from feeder hills to larger destinations.
About Snowy Range
Situated in Medicine Bow National Forest, Snowy Range is a hidden gem ski resort. Snowy Range features 27 trails across 250 skiable acres, 5 lifts, and a vertical drop of 990 feet. There are also trails for cross-country skiers. Lift tickets are very affordable, costing under $60 for an adult on weekdays and under $70 on weekends and during peak periods. Outside of this passholders deal, Snowy Range is not part of any multi-mountain pass… yet.
