Vanderhoof, BC — Members of Canada’s Conservation Officer Service responded to a grizzly bear attack on a rural property in the Vanderhoof, British Columbia after receiving an alert about a grizzly attack.

At approximately 5:00 pm on Monday evening, a man was walking his two off-leash dogs on his farm property when he was attacked by a grizzly bear. The man was able to scramble under a barbed wire fence and the bear disengaged and ran off. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries to his leg and received medical treatment in hospital.
