MAINE — If there ever existed a match made in heaven it Donny Pelletier working as an ambassador for Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine. Widely recognized as Maine’s Finest Athlete, a moniker he bestowed upon himself, Donny has trouble making five feet walking around Sunday River before he is recognized and folks want to chat him up and grab a selfie.

Donny has recently been working overdrive in his role as the unofficial mascot of Sunday River leading up to the resorts annual Bust ‘N’ Burn spring skiing event where he will not only host but compete:
“Bust n Burn comin at ya. sign up n join the best n worst bump skiahs in the country. all ages welcome, $7,000 for first, $0 for last (but good bragin rights).” -Donny

Bust ‘N’ Burn 2026:
Bust ‘N’ Burn is an annual spring event where you can test your chops against the best of the best. The competition takes place on Monday Mourning with athletes scored on their time and style. Oh, and did we mention the prizes? Winners of the men’s and women’s bracket will walk away with a cool cash prize, plus loads of swag for all competitors. Whether you’re competing or spectating, this isn’t one to miss.
All Bust ‘N’ Burn participants are required to ski.
