Many of us would agree that skiing in deep powder is one of the greatest experiences in winter sports, right up until you fall and have to figure out how to get your skis back on. Clipping back into your skis in deep snow can be a serious battle, especially if you’re rather new to skiing pow. This quick video from ski instructor Jason Wright will certainly be of help next time you lose a ski or two to the snow.

There are a few things to remember here. Clip into the downhill ski first, always. That’ll help with stability. Make sure you get the snow off from under your boot before clipping in as well. It will make clipping in a lot easier and will ensure you’re properly in the binding. Lastly, it’s important to stay calm in these powder situations. If you start to get flustered and frustrated, it will only get more difficult.
