Keystone, Colorado — Have you ever wondered what it’s like to get the first tracks of the day at a ski resort? How about the first tracks on opening day at the first to open in North America?

Tucker Stanton shared his perspective on his fresh tracks from last Saturday. The video captured the excitement of opening day, with lots of excited employees and skiers and riders. While it appears that he got the second gondola up, most of the riders around him were snowboarders, meaning he was able to get ahead of them before they buckled up.

After passing one snowboarder on the Schoolmarm trail, he had the whole place to himself. If you’re wondering why it wasn’t completely untracked, it is likely because ski patrollers were preparing the slopes and lifties were getting down to the base of the Montezuma Express chairlift.

While the snow wasn’t as soft as a powder day, it sounded smooth and very carveable. His first trip down to Zuma of the season was full of stoke, hoots, and hollers.

While all of this is well and good, the true highlight of the video is when he screams, Let’s fucking go,” and then promptly apologizes to the viewing audience for the language.

Keystone remains open daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with skiing off the Montezuma Express. Skiers and riders access the terrain from the Village via the River Run Gondola.
