The Colorado ski season is really starting to heat up. Keystone and Arapahoe Basin duked it out to be the first ski area open for the season in the United States last weekend, with Keystone pulling a sneaky move to grab the 1st place title Saturday afternoon, and now a third Colorado ski resort is getting ready to open at 1pm tomorrow, October 31st.
Winter Park Resort‘s first day of skiing and snowboarding is set for Friday, though it isn’t clear exactly which lifts and trails will be open to skiers and snowboarders. They’ve been cranking out snowmaking around the mountain over the past several weeks, and now it looks like they’re ready to get things going for the season.
Those hoping to celebrate open day can join the party at the Derailer Bar from 11am-5pm  $1 draft Coors Light beers while supplies last and some special branded Coors Light giveaways. The Balcony House will be open to purchase lift tickets or season passes, and to print Winter Park and Ikon Passes.
The open lifts are set to spin from 1pm-4pm, creating the perfect spooky Halloween afternoon on the mountain. Don’t forget to wear a costume!
