Here’s a helpful tip for skiers and snowboarders as we head into the winter season, if it’s a busy day on the mountain make darn sure you fill up the chairlift to capacity or you may face frontier justice like these folks at Arapahoe Basin.

These A-Basin guests royally messed up the lift boarding process ended with just two people on one chair, an empty chair, and just one person on another chair. That’s nine spots that could have been filled by eager skiers and snowboarders but left vacant. Obviously we don’t know the whole story as to why the chairs were empty, but it was more than enough to anger the crowd below.bIn response, the waiting lift line booed and threw snowballs at the people on the lift.

Lift Line Throws Snowballs At Skiers For Not Filling Chair Lift

A-Basin has cracked down on this type of retribution stationing ski patrollers in liftlines busy days to proactively avoid vacant chairs while discouraging snowball throwing but there are still times when projectiles are launched. Word to the wise, if the liftline is long make sure to fill up the seats or you may end up a target for snowballs.
