Morgan County, Utah — If you’re looking to create your own skiing paradise in Utah, we think we’ve found the place for you.
Priced at $72.5 million, the Sheep Creek Canyon Ranch has what feels like an endless amount of land to explore. The physical infrastructure isn’t that shabby, either. The 6,537± square-foot residence features a chef’s kitchen and a large family room. The 2,640± square-foot speakeasy has multiple garage spaces, a bar, and lots of hangout spaces to grab a cold one with the boys. There’s also an equestrian facility for those who love horses.
For rich skiers or snowbaorders who’d be interested in buying the property, there are a few things that could interest them. The first is that it’s around an hour’s drive to ski resorts like Snowbasin, Powder Mountain, and Nordic Valley. If you can get a membership, which seems possible if you could afford this property, you’re also within driving distance of Wasatch Peaks Ranch.
The second possibility is in the would-be buyer’s backyard. There’s an elevation difference of 3,000 feet on the property, which means there’s great skiing on site. Currently, the terrain is accessible by uphill skiing or getting a snowcat, but adding a lift seems possible, too.
“I think it would be more of a snowcat/backcountry thing, like, friends and family and guests more than a potential public ski resort, right?” said Tim Anderson, a property broker for Swan Land Company, to the Salt Lake Tribune. “It certainly gets a lot of snow, and there’s a strong winter component up there.”
Other outdoor enthusiasts will love the ranch. Hunters have access to trophy bull elk and mule deer. For fishermen, there’s access to the East Fork River, Sheep Creek, and smaller tributaries. There are also hiking trails, areas to explore for mountain biking, and various vantage points that offer excellent views of wildlife.
There’s also a backcountry tent for those who want to go for trips into the backcountry. The outdoor deck and tent include a wood stove, a solar-powered shower, an outhouse, and a wood-fired hot tub. Sounds like you’re roughing it out there.

If it sells for that price point, it would become the most valuable home ever to sell in Utah, beating the “Mountainhead” home in Deer Valley by over ten million dollars.
