Grand Teton National Park is proud announce they have installed new bear resistant recycle station near Colter Bay Campground and it is quite impressive. The new station is housed in a shipping container and paid for in partnership with Keep America Beautiful, TerraCycle, Grand Teton Lodge Company, and support from the National Park Foundation.
“This isn’t just your average blue bin…Aluminum, glass, paper, cardboard, rigid plastics, and even those hard-to-recycle things like flexible plastics, candy wrappers, juice boxes, and more can be recycled here. Look for the clearly marked slots and sort it out like a pro.” -Grand Teton National Park
In addition to the new Colter Bay Campground recycling station, Grand Teton has also added bins for used fishing line at popular access points and 30 new cigarette butt receptacles to help address one of the park’s most stubborn types of litter.
“Let’s show some love to this place we all enjoy by recycling right.” -Grand Teton National Park
