Its been a hell of year for Lindsey Vonn since she underwent partial knee replacement back in April 2024 and the ski racing legend reflected on her progression over the last 12 months and had this to say:

“What a difference a year makes. I’m in a much different place now than I was. Excited about the progress I’m making and the summer of preparation has only just begun.”

Post surgery, Lindsey underwent intense physical therapy and against all odds made her comeback to competitive skiing after 6 years of retirement on December 7th, 2024, at the FIS Fall Festival in Copper Mountain, Colorado. Lindsey’s performances improved over the course of the season and she capped it off by finishing second in the Super-G at the World Cup Finals in Sun Valley, Idaho where she became the oldest woman to earn a medal in a World Cup race.

Next up Lindsey has her sights set on an bid to compete at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo. Vonn’s comeback story is by far one of the best sports stories of the year and we can not wait to see her battling to compete for Team USA in Italy. GO LINDSEY!
