Waterville Valley, New Hampshire — It’s shaping up to be a busy offseason at Waterville Valley Resort.

Work is underway on replacing two of their surface lifts with a new T-Bar. The MND Ropeways T-Bar will start near the BBTS/WVA Competition Center and end next to the mid-point of The Chute and Utter Abandon trails. The T-Bar will travel up the skier’s left side of the Lower White Caps trail. In comparison, the former World Cup T-Bar went up Tommy’s World Cup Run, while the Exhibition went up Exhibition. The new T-Bar will have a capacity of 1,100 people per hour and have a vertical rise of 602 feet. It will have a length of 2,226 feet and a speed of 500 feet per minute. This new lift will appeal to racers, terrain park skiers/riders, and guests who enjoy intermediate/advanced terrain.

Waterville has provided a few construction updates so far this offseason. The first update came on April 18th, which showed workers beginning to clear the path for the new T-Bar and replace water pipelines on the adjacent trails.

The second update came from last week, which showed the beginning of the demolition for the World Cup T-Bar.

The other big offseason project at Waterville involves replacing the damaged bubbles on the Tecumseh Express. Meanwhile, public comments are now being requested for a transformative proposal by Waterville Valley Resort.
