Backcountry skiing on the East Coast is its own beast, with terrain zones like Mount Katahdin and the White Mountains featuring some wild steeps and gnarly terrain without the deep powder found in the west. The weather, the conditions, and the type of people you find in the East Coast backcountry just seem to be built different.
These guys spent their winter shredding throughout Vermont and around Mount Katahdin at night, capturing some sweet footage lit up by nothing but headlights. The short film is stunning and the skiing is properly impressive, especially considering they can’t see where they’re going all that well.
