Twin Bridges, California — If you had a bad experience with Sierra-at-Tahoe’s parking program during the 2020-21 season, you may be entitled to financial compensation.

During the 2020-21 season, Sierra-at-Tahoe had parking restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Some guests purchased lift tickets ahead of time, but were unable to access the ski resort due to the parking restrictions. The dates where guests were affected by these circumstances included Dec. 12, 14, 18-19 and 29, 2020; Jan. 9 and 30-31, 2021; along with Feb. 6, 13, and 20, 2021. A class action lawsuit was filed by those affected, who alleged that the California ski area didn’t disclose the parking regulations.

Sierra-at-Tahoe agreed to a settlement, which means that while they don’t have to admit wrongdoing, they are offering guests a chance for compensation. Last week, it was announced that the affected guests can either get a financial reward or a lift ticket voucher. The lift ticket vouchers will be available for three seasons. Refunds will be identical to the amount they paid for the ticket during the 2020-21 season.

If you want to be a part of this settlement, you’ll have to submit a claim here before June 24, 2025. Those who wish to oppose or not join in on this settlement have to submit their decision by June 10th, 2025. The settlement is scheduled to be ratified during a final approval hearing on July 10th, 2025.
