It’s nearly Memorial Day Weekend, and for many people that means going on nice hikes, enjoying a day out on the water, or relaxing as rainy spring weather continues to hold strong. People like us might be hoping to get on some snow this weekend, snag some final ski or snowboard turns before finally calling the season quits, and depending on where you live across the country, that could still very well be possible. These 5 areas are open for skiing and snowboarding this weekend.
5 U.S. Ski Areas Open Memorial Day Weekend
Boyne Mountain, Michigan – Closing date Monday, May 25th (Memorial Day).
Killington Resort, Vermont – Open this Friday and Saturday. Conditions will be reassessed midday Saturday to determine if they’ll be able to stay open for Sunday.
Mammoth Mountain, California – Closing date set for My 31st.
Palisades Tahoe, California – Closing May 24th.
Timberline Lodge, Oregon – Closing date TBD.
