Trollhaugen Ski Resort announced yesterday that they are discontinuing their Adventure Park citing rising costs of “insurance and equipment replacement.” The Dresser Wisconsin ski resort has operated the park since 2012 which featured a ropes course and ziplines. Trollhaugen could have continued operating the summer attraction but they would have had significantly raise ticket prices which not something they believe in doing. In the social media post announcing the closure Trollhaugen thanked all the staff who worked at the park over the years and guests who enjoyed the facilities.

After twelve wonderfully adventurous years, we have made the challenging decision to permanently close the Trollhaugen Adventure Park effective immediately. Many factors and possible solutions were considered, but ultimately, rising operating costs like insurance & equipment replacement will not allow us to continue without significantly raising ticket prices, and that is not something we believe in doing.
As we know first hand, this is an emotional decision for our team, and we want to give a big thank you to all of our amazing staff and visitors that joined us at the Adventure Park since it’s creation in 2012. We will continue to celebrate the wonderful memories that we made with each and every one of you Troll loving humans.
We hope you enjoy new adventures this summer, and we look forward to seeing you in the fall for our 76th Winter Season on snow together.
Best,
The Trollhaugen Family
