Alaska’s Alyeska Resort has officially breached the 700 inch snowfall mark for the 2024/25 ski season, with 726 inches falling so far at the top of GBX.
Their snow depth at the top now sits just under 200 inches at 197 inches, while the middle of the mountain has 101 inches. 47 of 78 trails are open at the Alaska mountain, serviced by every single lift. And if that wasn’t enough, the resort’s forecast seems to have plenty more snow on the horizon.
Alyeska only breached the 600 inch mark earlier this month, with the mountain having seen 630 inches of snow as of April 7. That means in the past 10 days, the resort has seen just under 100 inches, or about 8 feet, of new snowfall.
Alyeska’s 2025 closing date is currently scheduled for Sunday, April 27, though that could change depending on conditions. Their Spring Carnival, featuring a host of events including a pond skim and “Idiot Swim”, is set to go down between April 25 and April 27.
