Pond skimmer slams into child.
Pond skimmer slams into child.

Pond skimming is a highlight of the spring skiing season. Ski resorts build a temporary pond on their slopes and host a competition to see who can successfully ski or snowboarding across without falling into the frigid waters below. Wild outfits and crazy antics are almost always involved.

Of course with parties as rowdy as these events sometimes get, somewhat questionable behavior is bound to occur. The pond skimmers might attempt a trick that’s far beyond their ability, crashing hard. Or, as we see in the case below, the crowd (in this case a child) might decide to stand in a very poor position.

It’s cases like this where you’re forced to ask “where are your parents?” There’s no reason anyone should be standing in the runout of a pond skim, and yet there seems to be a large group doing it in this clip. You can’t really blame the child, but you definitely can’t blame the pond skimmer. He even tries to pizza on the water in an attempt to slow down before hitting the crowd.
