Powder skiing at Breckenridge.

Most of Colorado has had a pretty middle-of-the-road season. In the Southwest portion of the state they’ve seen a pretty lacking amount of snow, while the resorts further north are sitting pretty close to average. While Wolf Creek is traditionally the snowiest ski area in the state, their season has only brought 228 inches of snow to the ground. Instead this year most of the snowiest ski areas are located closer to the I-70 corridor, with the snowiest reaching over 300 inches.

Several ski areas, including Arapahoe Basin and the four mountains that make up Aspen Snowmass, don’t publish season totals to their websites. So while they could very easily be among the top ten, you won’t see them on the list below. These are the 10 snowiest ski areas in Colorado so far this season.

10. Telluride Ski Resort – 223 inches

9. Wolf Creek Ski Area – 228 inches

8. Crested Butte Mountain Resort – 230 inches

7. Loveland Ski Area – 282 inches

6. Silverton Mountain – 285 inches

5. Steamboat Resort – 300 inches

4. Breckenridge Resort – 303 inches

3. Vail Mountain – 314 inches

2. Copper Mountain – 318 inches

1. Winter Park Resort – 340 inches
