Closing day party at Snowmass.
Closing day party at Snowmass.

With multiple separate resort areas making up their identity, Aspen Snowmass is in a unique position to host not one, not two, but four total closing day parties to celebrate the end of the ski season.

Snowmass Closing Party 2024

The first party, Bacon Appreciate Day, celebrates the end of the season at Buttermilk on April 6. Bacon samplers will be handed out around the mountain until they run out, and more bacon specials, DJ sets, bands, and libations will be available at the Buttermilk Mountain Lodge, the Backyard, and the Cliffhouse. Plus a rail jam at the base is set to go down from 2pm-4pm.

The following Sunday, April 13, will celebrate the closing of the season at Aspen Highlands. Merry-Go-Round will have specials and a DJ until 4pm, Cloud Nine will be bumping, and a mechanical bull might even make an appearance. Once the day on the mountain is over, guests are encouraged to hit the Highlands Alehouse.

Two parties are scheduled for the last weekend of operation at Aspen Snowmass. At Snowmass, April 19 will feature the Elk Camp Surf & Snow Beach Party, with a high-energy après party featuring live DJs and hot tubs at Elk Camp. A classic pond skim will challenge skiers and snowboarders, and music and festivities continue into the evening at the base of the mountain.

Finally, to close it all out, Aspen Mountain will be the home of the party on April 20. Bubbly will be available from 11am-3:30pm at the Sundeck, with dancing, slush turns, and hopefully some ridiculous outfits covering the mountain. Once the lifts are closed, the party will continue until 5:30(ish)pm at the Gondola Plaza for the Aspen Afterparty. Cheers to the 2024/25 ski season!
