It may be April, but that doesn’t mean the ski season is over. Plenty of ski resorts are still getting some serious snowfall every few days, with several areas breaking the 500 inch snowfall mark for the season. These 5 resorts, 4 of which have already seen more than 500 inches, have seen the most snow of any U.S. ski resort so far this season.

5. Snowbird, Utah – 496 inches

Utah’s Snowbird has seen 496 inches of snow so far this season, supported by the 2 inches they’ve seen in the past 24 hours. Their base depth currently sits at 125 inches.

4. Timberline Lodge, Oregon – 506 inches

Oregon’s Timberline Lodge, located on Mt. Hood, has seen 506 inches of snowfall this year, with 13 inches of snow falling in the past 72 hours. The ski area’s base depth currently sits at 166 inches.

3. Alta, Utah – 509 inches

Just up the road from Snowbird, Alta has seen 509 inches of snow so far during the 2024/25 ski season. The recent storm brought another 3 inches to the mountain, bringing their base depth to 148 inches.

2. Mt. Baker, Washington – 551 inches (as of March 24)

Washington’s Mt. Baker ski area doesn’t update their snow totals as frequently as other areas, but they’re still sitting in second place. As of March 24, Mt. Baker had a season total of 551 inches. Their snow base at Heather Meadows sits at 147 inches.

1. Alyeska Resort, Alaska – 598 inches

It’s not surprising to know that the snowiest ski resort in the United States is in Alaska. Alyeska Resort has seen 598 inches of snowfall so far this season, bringing their snow depth at the top of the mountain to 150 inches.
