Moose charges skier @ Jackson Hole

A moose snacking on some low hanging branches slopeside at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort took issue with a skier who zoomed by with their phone out for a close up video.

The moose gave chase and the video cuts off before we can tell if they made it to safety but there are no recent reports of moose attacks at the iconic Wyoming ski resort so we can assume nothing came of it.

Moose sightings in Jackson Hole are common but are usually peaceful. They do occasionally attack like in 2021 when a man was knocked to the ground by a moose on a bike path or in 2023 when a moose headed-butted and stomped a woman resulting in severe injuries.

In most case, negative encounters with moose are easy avoidable by providing the animals with ample space. If you encroach on their territory, they may respond aggressively like this one:

Chased by a moose at Jackson Hole, these things are no joke it chased me all the way back to the ski loft area running through a crowd of people and missing the family you can see for a second at the end of the video by like 2 feet, he was locked in. #moose #meese #mooseoftiktok #jacksonholemoose #jacksonhole #jacksonholewyoming #jacksonholemountainresort #skiing #skiingtiktok #chasedbymoose #wyoming #wyominglife #parkrat #powderday #corbetscouloir
