Waterville Valley, New Hampshire — Next season, Waterville Valley Resort will continue its lift modernization efforts.

Yesterday, the New Hampshire ski resort announced that it will install a new T-Bar to allow for more athlete training opportunities and easier access to lower-mountain terrain for recreational skiers.

This new MND Ropeways T-Bar will have a length of 2,226 feet, a vertical rise of 602 feet, and will be able to travel 500 feet per minute. The T-Bar, with carriers that can fit two people, will be able to carry 1100 passengers uphill an hour. It will also be conveniently located only 100 feet from the BBTS/WVA Competition Center. The scheduled opening date is December 1st, 2025.

“This new T-Bar is an exciting investment in our mountain’s infrastructure,” said Tim Smith, the President & General Manager of Waterville Valley Resort. “It will greatly improve our ability to support training camps, race and freestyle programs, and provide enhanced access for recreational skiers.”

This new surface lift will replace two lifts at Waterville. The first is the World Cup T-Bar, which services the majority of the Tommy’s World Cup Run. The second is the Exhibition surface lift, a platter lift that services the Exhibition trail.

The relatively new Tecumseh Express (a bubble detachable high-speed six-pack chairlift) will also see improvements. The damaged bubbles will be replaced with new durable three-piece bubble chairs.

The final major improvement will be all new trail signs, which will help improve navigation at the mountain.

There’s another big project proposal on the horizon for Waterville, but I’ll keep my lips sealed on that for now.
