Logan Canyon, Utah — The oldest family-run ski resort in Utah is celebrating its 85th birthday in a big way.

As part of their 85th birthday celebration, Beaver Mountain is offering $20 lift tickets on March 11th. The fine print here is that these tickets can only be picked up in person at the ticket office.

Opened in 1939, Beaver is one of the rare Utah ski resorts that’s kept its rustic charm. Thanks to the hard work of the Seeholzer family, it holds the title of the oldest continuously family-run ski area in the United States. Today, Marge Seeholzer is the President and still works at the ticket office. The ski resort features 48 runs, six lifts, a 1700-foot vertical drop, and 828 acres of skiable terrain.

Currently, Beaver Mountain has a base depth of 76 inches. They’ve received 175 inches of snow so far this winter, with more on the way over the next few days.
