Zion National Park officials report a rockslide led to the closure of a road in the eastern part of the park on Monday, February 24th.
The slide occurred about 3:30pm in the Big Bend area. No injuries have been reported but the slide force the closure of Zion Canyon Scenic Drive.

The size of the rockslide is still being determined. We will be sure to update this story as more information becomes available.

Rockslides in Zion National Park are rare but not unheard of. This rockslide from the Weeping Rock area happened on November 14th 2023. Thankfully no one was injured in this rockslide.
