Tim McChesney and Ana Eyssimont have been crowned as this year’s King and Queen of Corbet’s following the seventh iteration of the ski and snowboard invitational. This marks the first King and Queen title for both athletes.
McChesney and Eyssimont both took home $10,000 in prize money, $5,000 for winning their ski categories and another $5,000 each for being the highest-scoring male and female across all disciplines. Yuki Kadono and Sarka Pancochova were the highest-scoring male and female snowboarders, each taking home $5,000.
The King and Queen awards were decided by the athletes themselves, but a People’s Choice award will also be determined in an online vote with GORE-TEX and Mammut. McChesney won his title with a dub cork 1080 and a switch 1080 at the bottom kicker, starting the competition with a bang. He beat runner-up Alex Hackel and third-place finisher Tristen Lilly.
On the women’s side, Eyssimont claimed the women’s ski crown with a straight air into a backflip, beating out Claire McPherson and Piper Kunst. On the men’s snowboard side, Jed Sky took second and Spencer Whiting took third, while Madison Blackley took second and Erika Vikander took third in the women’s snowboard.
“Second-place finishers in all four categories took home $3,000, while third-place finishers earned $2,000, as JHMR awarded a total of $50,000 in prize money for the event.” – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort
