Several New England ski areas have seen some solid snowfall over the past few days and another storm system is set to roll through this weekend, bringing even more powder to what’s already been a very solid week.
In Vermont, both Stowe and Killington have seen a strong week. Stowe pulled in 4 inches over the past 24 hours, 8 inches in the past 72 hours, and 22 inches over the entire week. Meanwhile Killington pulled in 5 inches in the past 24 hours and 16 inches in the past week, plus they’re expecting another 1-3 inches over the next day.
Cannon Mountain in New Hampshire woke up with plenty of fresh snow this morning, pulling in 2-4 inches overnight on top of another 4-6 inches that came down throughout the day yesterday. At the same time, Waterville Valley Resort reports receiving 6 inches of snow in yesterday’s storm for a total of 21 inches in the last week.
Similarly, Maine’s Saddleback Mountain saw 3 inches of snow overnight, making for a total of 6 inches throughout the storm. In the past week, the independent mountain has seen 20 total inches of snowfall. Sugarloaf Mountain, meanwhile, has seen 5 inches of snow over the past 24 hours, making for 14 inches of new snow over the past 7 days.

A new storm system rolling through this weekend could bring even more snow to ski resorts across New England, though the region’s southern states are likely to see heavier snowfall. In the area around both Saddleback and Sugarloaf, the National Weather Service is forecasting around 2-6 inches of new snowfall between Friday, February 7, and Monday, February 10, while the minimum potential snow accumulation is closer to 1-2 inches.
Parts of central New Hampshire could see 5-9 inches of snowfall, with other areas sitting in that 3-7 inch range. The minimum potential snow accumulation has much of the state receiving 3-4 inches, though the high end amount, though the 1 in 10 chance of higher snowfall has up to 10-11 inches in parts of the state.

Vermont is showing similar numbers to New Hampshire, with southern parts of the state looking to potentially receive a heavier snowfall. 3-6 inches of snowfall is expected around Burlington, with 4-7 inches around Rutland. On the 1 in 10 chance that the higher snowfall touches down, parts of Vermont are likely to max out around 8 inches, though some of the southern portions of the state could max out closer to a foot.
