Gatlinburg, Tennessee — A Tennessee ski resort is offering a great deal for the ladies on Wednesday.
This Wednesday, Ober Mountain will be hosting a celebration for the National Women & Girls In Sports Day. This celebration was officially designated by Congress back in 1987 to commemorate the impact of woman in sports. In honor of the occasion, Ober is offering females of all ages free lift tickets. The lifts will be spinning from 12-9 pm. Rentals and lessons will be available, but they are an additional fee. Tickets can be acquired in person on Wednesday.

Those who visit will have the chance to ride the new Ober Challenge chairlift, which had its grand opening a few weeks ago. This Doppelmayr quad chairlift travels to the top of Ober’s skiable terrain, servicing intermediate and advanced trails. In the summertime, it will service Ober’s growing mountain biking trail network. Another new Doppelmayr quad chairlift will service a few of Ober’s attractions atop Mount Harrison.
This isn’t the only lift deal that Ober Mountain is offering this season. Last month, Ober Mountain announced that students in kindergarten through twelfth grade could ski for free during a few weeks in January. On Thursday nights, Ober Mountain offers $20 lift tickets for college students. On Sundays, Tennessee residents can purchase a full-day lift ticket for $49. In today’s expensive ski industry, these are some solid deals.
