Cheers to all 300+ skiers and snowboarders who came out to Sunday River to celebrate the Maine ski resort’s 24th annual Santa Sunday. The fundraising event benefits The River Fund Maine which offers scholarships for Maine students heading to college.
All of the pre-registered Santas showed up Sunday morning wearing red hats with white pompom, a red jackets, red pants, a white beard. A group photo was taken slopeside at South Ridge at 11am and then the Santa horde rode up South Ridge Express and skied down Broadway.
This year Santa Sunday raised $9,000 for The River Fund Maine. Cheers!

All kids deserve a chance to know what’s possible in life and believe that they can accomplish their goals. The River Fund Maine is focused on making that a reality for families in Western Maine.
We believe that education opens the doors to future success, so we create unique educational programs to help people build careers to be enjoyed, not jobs to be endured. We use our community’s recreational assets to help kids learn how to lead, follow, and work as an effective team. And we know that the future for this beautiful place lies in the support we provide today to help its people achieve their aspirations.
Together we’re building a bright future.
