This past Sunday, one of Steamboat Resort‘s largest inbound avalanches in resort history was recorded following a large amount of snowfall. The slide occurred between Crowtrack and Chute 2 towards the top of Mt. Werner.
While nobody was caught or injured in the avalanche, Steamboat is reminding all skiers, snowboarders, and anyone else on the mountain to respect all trail closures and signs on and around the resort. Failing to do so can put your life and the life of patrollers in serious risk.
“For your safety and the safety of our team, please respect all trail closures and signs. We’re working hard to open more terrain for you, but we have to do so safely. Thank you for your patience and understanding.“
