Ski racing legend Lindsey Vonn is set to compete for the first time in six years this weekend at the FIS Fall Festival at Copper Mountain, Colorado. Lindsey announced her return to competitive ski racing in November after a successful knee surgery earlier this year and has been training hard with the US Ski Team.
Vonn plans to race in a downhill on Saturday and a Super-G on Sunday with the hopes to improve her FIS ranking and secure a wildcard spot for the World Cup. Lindsey will be on course tomorrow for mandatory training runs. U.S. Ski Team head coach Paul Kristofic believes if Vonn stays in good health and continues her current trajectory that she will be competitive this season.
Extremely excited to see one of the greatest ski racers of all time back in the gates. Let’s go Lindsey!
