Utah’s Brian Head Resort is launching an unmatched ski and snowboard experience for beginners to the sports. Purchasing a lift ticket to the ski area gains those 13 years and older access to complimentary 2.5-hour introductory ski and snowboarding lesson.
First-time skiers and snowboarders ages 13 and older will be given the opportunity to learn essential skills and safety guidance for the mountain without the stress of spending hundreds of dollars on lessons, gear, and passes. Instead, a $30 lift ticket will be available to access the free experience, providing access to just the magic carpet lift and Pioneer Lift (chair 6).
Participants can also gain access to a basic ski or snowboard rental package for just $25 if booked online. For the day on the mountain, rentals, and a lesson, beginners can spend just $55.
“The program includes instruction on loading and unloading a magic carpet lift and a chairlift, though students may only use these lifts if their instructor determines they are ready, to ensure a safe and comfortable experience. After mastering the basics, participants can continue practicing independently by riding the magic carpet and beginner chairlift or booking another free session to further refine their skills.“
Participants must register online at least 24 hours in advance. The group sizes will be limited, so the earlier you book the better. The beginner experience starts at 10am at the Navajo Lodge on select days throughout the season, though guests should show up 15 minutes ahead of time.
