Recently, Midwest Skiers released a video detailing how snowmaking works. The video dives into the science of snow, the ingredients needed to make snow, how wind speed and colder temperatures can impact snowmaking production, and the types of equipment that makes this intricate process happen.
There are usually a few videos that come out each year that partially explain how ski resorts make snow, but they’re not exactly a deep dive into the process. This video from Midwest Skiers is among the most comprehensive video guides to snowmaking that I’ve seen.
