It’s very early in the season, so expecting your favorite resort to have a bunch of terrain open is going to leave you very disappointed. At this point, most ski areas might have 1 chairlift with a handful of trails. Fortunately for skiers and snowboarders at Loveland Ski Area, more terrain is already set to open this weekend.
A post to the ski area’s Instagram shared that the trail Upper Richards Run had already opened yesterday, November 14, and would continue to stay open as long as conditions last. Additionally, Lift 2 will open on Saturday, proving access to Tango Road.
While it isn’t official quite yet, work on Loveland’s Spillway trail is going strong and they’ve stated their hopes in opening the run by Sunday. For the park rats in the audience, the Loveland Park Crew has gotten an Early Season Terrain Park up and running with a few features.
Loveland has seen 5 inches of snowfall in the last 72 hours, making for a total of 40 inches this season. 17% of their open terrain is currently considered beginner, while 1% is considered intermediate. Sadly the five day forecast shows little sign of snowfall, so the mountain will likely be relying on man-made snow for the time being.
