Bernt Marius Rørstad lost his right foot after a terrible speed riding accident back in 2018. It is truly difficult to imagine experiencing such a traumatic injury, but Bernt hasn’t let it slow him down one bit. He still skis, climbs, hikes, and runs almost like nothing ever happened.
He met up with Nikolai Schirmer this past winter, doing some major ski touring around his home mountains of Sunnmøre, Norway. Throughout the video, he discusses how he’s been able to conquer massive ski touring days with the help of a custom built ski-touring prosthetic. It’s truly impressive stuff.
Bernt’s story is being told in a documentary made by director Matias Myklebust titled Momentum: The Story of Bernt Marius Rørstad. Right now the documentary is being shown in theaters across Norway, but you can view the trailer here.
