Preparations are already underway at Sun Valley Ski Resort in Idaho for the first-ever Stifel Sun Valley Finals set for March 22-27, 2025. Crews are busy installing towers to support a-nets to keep both athletes and spectators safe during the event. The fortified towers are being spiked or dug into the ground depending on the terrain. The event will be the only place in North America to watch the world’s top men and women athletes compete in the Downhill, Super-G, Giant Slalom and Slalom at the first-ever Stifel Sun Valley Finals.
Pete Sonntag, Sun Valley Resort GM & VP:
“Sun Valley Resort has always been about ‘firsts,’ as America’s original destination ski resort with the world’s first chairlift. From the very beginning, Sun Valley has attracted top-level ski racers from all over the globe with our technical and challenging terrain, setting the standard for high-level competition. Our legacy in ski racing dates back to the first Harriman Cup races of the 1930s, our first FIS World Cup in 1975, and most recently the U.S. Alpine Championships in 2023 and 2024, and we could not be more thrilled to continue making history as host of the first Audi FIS Ski World Cup Finals in Sun Valley.”
