Bend, Oregon — A local group of investors continues their push to acquire Mt. Bachelor. A few weeks ago, POWDR sold two of its Vermont ski resorts and announced plans to put three more on the market.

While heavyweights like Alterra and Vail Resorts are reportedly interested in Mt. Bachelor, two locals are putting together a community effort to acquire Bachelor. Last week, Dan Cochrane & Chris Porter announced they had formed Mount Bachelor Community Inc. and were making progress on the deal.

Their latest update, which dropped last night, explained that they’re launching a website, how people can invest, and that they’re engaging with various professional firms for legal, financial, marketing, and operations help. In addition, they have announced a kick-off party on October 12th at Drake Park.

  3. Engaging with Top Professional Firms:
We are also working with some of the top professional service firms for legal, financial, marketing, and operations; those that have represented some of Oregon’s most well-known companies in their process of becoming publicly traded. Their guidance will help us ensure that we’re taking the right steps towards achieving this goal.
  4. Kick-Off Party – Save the Date!:
To celebrate our progress, we are hosting a kick-off party in Drake Park on October 12th. This will be a great opportunity for all of us to connect, share updates, and celebrate the future of Mount Bachelor.
  5. Community Contributions:
In the coming days, we will send a follow-up email detailing how you can contribute to help cover the costs of engaging the right firms for representing the community. Your support will make a lasting difference in ensuring Mount Bachelor remains a community-driven project.

Thank you for your ongoing support. Together, we will return Mount Bachelor to where it belongs—with the community.
