Arizona Snowbowl located fifteen miles north of Flagstaff got a late August surprise in the form of measurable snow at the top of the mountain (11,500 feet). This early harbinger of winter arrived just three months after the resort closed for the season on June 1st. Shoveling might not have been fully necessary but its good practice for their scheduled opening day of November 21st.
“Mother Nature showed up with a little surprise today and reminded us that winter isn’t too far away. There’s just 82 days until our scheduled opening date for the 24/25 winter season – get stoked!” –Arizona Snowbowl
