This group of tourists on riding in one of those historic 1920’s era yellow busses at Yellowstone National Park certainly got their money’s worth when it comes to wildlife sightings as female grizzly bear being chased by a male grizzly sprinted past the vehicle as they were pulled over on the shoulder.
The Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is home to an estimated 965 grizzly bears. Approximately 150–200 of these grizzlies have home ranges wholly or partially in the park. Anytime you enter Yellowstone there is a chance you will catch a glimpse of one of these majestic animals, but see one they way tourists from the 1920’s might have is a real treat.
About Yellowstone Historic Yellow Bus:
Yellowstone’s iconic yellow bus tours began in the 1920s. At the height of their popularity within Yellowstone in the mid-1920s, more than 400 of the vehicles operated in the park. The current fleet of 13-passenger vehicles maintain their original appearance including retractable canvas roofs and panoramic windows but have been updated with 2007 Ford E450 van frames and motors. Very cool way to experience our nation’s first National Park. If you are interested in book a tour GO HERE.
