9-year-old Ema Kawakami landed three consecutive 900s at Tony Hawk's Vert Alert.

Massive shoutout to 9-year-old Japanese skater Ema Kawakami who just etched himself into the skateboard history books after landing 3 consecutive 900s. Ema landed the incredible sequence at Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Birdman was calling the event was over the moon at the youngster’s achievement. Tony was the first to land the 900 way back on June 27th 1999 at the X Games, 25 years later and have a 9-year-old stomping 3 in a row. That’s what I call progression:

Here’s Tony on the mic calling this historic day on the halfpipe:

Ema closed out the show by winning the best trick with an alley-oop 900. This kid is unreal:

@xgames

How did Ema Kawakami follow up back to back 900s at @Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert? With an Alley Oop 9 of course. We want to be him when we grow up. #skateboarding #actionsports
