MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN, California – With spring skiing comes yachting season at Mammoth Mountain, as the resort’s yacht club is set to open once again on Memorial Day Weekend.

How does one go yachting at a ski resort, you ask? With parties, live music, and cardboard boats, of course! The Mammoth Yacht Club kicks off in full with a series of cardboard boat races on Saturday, May 25, pulling both individuals and teams down a snowy course in some not-so-seaworthy vessels. If you’re interested in competing, keep an eye on the Mammoth Mountain Instagram page for sign up details.

The weekend also features a whole host of live music and limited run Mammoth Yacht Club apparel available in a few stores around the mountain. You are strongly encouraged to dress for your best yachting adventures and get in on the fun.
