“March really treated us well in terms of snowfall and we want to keep sharing the bounty.”

BOULDER COUNTY, Colorado — Great news for all you Eldora Mountain skiers and snowboarders, due to nearly 7 feet of snowfall in March, the Colorado ski resort just announced they will stay open for an extra week (new closing date Sunday, April 21st). The added week will make the 2023/2024 ski season the longest in the resort’s 62-year history. Eldora’s current base depth is 40 inches and they have 232 inches for the season. Here is the press release from Eldora:

Nederland, Colorado, Mar. 31, 2024 – Eldora Mountain, the backyard ski area for greater Boulder County and Colorado’s northern Front Range, is excited to announce a one-week extension of its 2023/24 operating season, making this season the longest ever in the resort’s 62-year history. Closing day had been scheduled for Sunday, April 14, 2024. The new Closing Day will be Sunday, April 21. Eldora opened for the season on November 3, 2023.

“We’re thrilled to offer amazing skiing and riding conditions to our guests for one more week than we had originally planned. March really treated us well in terms of snowfall and we want to keep sharing the bounty. With so much snow and so few people this time of year, the Eldora experience is better now than at any point earlier this winter, and we’re so close to the Front Range that it’s easy to fit a quick visit to Eldora into any day of your week.” -Brent Tregaskis, Eldora President & GM
