Have you ever wanted to own a ski shop?

Last weekend, the Out of Collective shared on social media a real estate listing of the Aspen East Ski Shop and the Surf The Earth Snowboard Shop in Killington, Vermont. Priced at $3.88 million, the ski shop has been a community staple for decades. The shop has an extensive rental and demo setup, an online store, heating, and plenty of parking.

The shop has its share of cool features. For one, there’s a vintage K-1 gondola cabin hanging from the ceiling. In addition, there’s a round stone glass fireplace, huge skiing/snowboarding posters, a Volkswagon Buggie hanging up on one of the walls, and more.

With the property being 5.89 acres, there’s potential to add residential or commercial buildings. Some of the ideas that they brought up in the listing included an indoor golf facility or an event space.

I think one of the major things that goes against the shop is that it’s located on US-4/Vermont Route 100. A lot of people that are coming over from I-89 North end up turning onto East Mountain Road to get up to the ski resort because it’s a little bit quicker, meaning that they don’t go by Aspen East. If you do go US-4 to Killington Road, which I personally prefer, it’s the first shop in Killington that you pass by.

You can view the listing here. Some photos of the property are below. It’s a pretty cool ski and snowboard shop, so let’s hope it lands in the right hands.
