Mountain biking is all the rage these days, as ski resorts across the world are building or extending their networks. This includes Schweitzer, which is the largest ski resort in Idaho. With over forty miles of mountain biking trails, Schweitzer has become known as one of the best mountain biking parks in Idaho.
Last week, Schweitzer opened up its latest downhill mountain biking trail. The new route, called Shake ‘n Bake, just opened up for the first time ever. The advanced, machine-built trail features many flows, berms, and jumps. Schweitzer is recommending that people take it easy on the first hundred yards due to it still being soft.
It’s going to be a busy summer for Schweitzer, as they’re working on a new chairlift and trail for the 2023-24 season. With Alterra buying Schweitzer earlier this month, more investments are coming, and we’ll be hearing a lot more about this under-the-radar ski resort in the future.
🚨New Trail Alert! 🚨
Our newest downhill MTB trail – Shake ‘n Bake – is now open! It just got finished, so the last 100 yards or so is still soft, so take ‘er easy. This machine built trail has plenty of flow, berms and jumps for those looking to catch a little air 🙂 pic.twitter.com/7mVeGLb66h— Schweitzer (@SchweitzerID) June 23, 2023
