Breckenridge Resort has become one of the major players in the late-season skiing scene in Colorado. The ski resort remains open deep into May, giving Epic Pass skiers and riders a late-season option in Colorado with around 1000 acres of open terrain. This season will be no exception, as they’ve gotten 277″ of snow so far.
In a blog post from this week, Breckenridge detailed their operational plans for this spring. The last day that all of their five peaks will be open will be April 16th. For the next week, they’ll have base area access out of Peak 7 & 8, which will be accessible by the BreckConnect Gondola. After April 23rd, they’ll have base area access out of Peak 7. Their closing date in May has yet to be announced.
The lifts and peaks that are scheduled to be open after April 16th are below.
Peak 8
Base area access out of Peak 8 is planned through April 23; after that, all access to late-season skiing and riding will be out of Peak 7.

BreckConnect Gondola
The BreckConnect Gondola will operate daily through April 30, 2023, for access to Peaks 7 and 8. After April 30, the BreckConnect Gondola will be closed for the season until we open for summer operations in mid-June. This is a part of our collaboration with the Town of Breckenridge to help support the health of the Cucumber Gulch Preserve and wildlife that migrates through the gulch and under the gondola in the spring.
