Mammoth Mountain, located in eastern California, is known for getting massive snowfalls. It’s the kind of place where images of snowpacks go viral. And for the past 70 years, the ski area has been welcoming people to its slopes to enjoy the abundance of snowfall. But never in the past 70 years has the ski area received as much snow as they have this season.

So far this season, Mammoth Mountain has received 695″ of snow at its main lodge. To put that in perspective, that is nearly as much snow as a six story building.

“With 28-30” of snow since yesterday afternoon, we just blew through our all-time season snowfall record of 668”. We’ve received 695” of snowfall to date at Main Lodge, making the 22/23 season the biggest in our history! 🤯
To our employees, to this community, to all of you who have battled the elements this season – YOU are the stuff of legends. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 💪🏽 It’s going to be a legendary spring up here and we’ll be open daily through at least July!”
