A search and rescue operation that began on Monday afternoon found the body of a missing skier at Solitude Mountain Resort in Utah. KJZZ 14 reports that a thirty-seven-year-old male skier was expected to get back to his vehicle from a ski trip at around 2 p.m. on Monday, but he did not return to his automobile.

The rescue crew searched from 6:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. last night but had to stop their efforts after that due to conditions. The team resumed the efforts at 7 a.m. and found the body later on this morning.

The Apex and Sunrise chairlifts were originally closed for the first portion of the morning to conduct a search, but have since opened. The Summit Express remains closed.

We’ll keep you posted here at Unofficial Networks about the latest developments on this evolving situation.
