During the 2020-21 season, the once-small Nordic Valley Ski Resort in Eden, Utah expanded onto a brand new peak. They opened their first-ever high-speed chairlift (a six-pack), along with their first double black diamond runs. Last season, they added multiple new trails to the new terrain pod.

On Friday, they revealed their newest trail map. As pictured below, five trails (which are mostly glades) were added around the Nordic Express. These trails, which are a mix of black and double black diamonds, expanded their black run count to nineteen.  The new runs are Flying Squirrel, Upper O Shoot, Lower O Shoot, Gayle’s Glades, and Black Max. Additionally, tree skiing has been added to the skier’s right of NIMBY.

That wasn’t the only project they worked on during this offseason. Some of their other additions were putting in a beer bar in the old ski patrol room, 33,000 square feet of new parking, the surfacing of parking lot #3, and new rental equipment from Head. It’s looking like a great season ahead at Nordic Valley, go check it out if you’re looking to not wait in the Cottonwood traffic and lines.
