Frost Fire Park, located in Walhalla, North Dakota, is a modest ski area/mountain bike park by American standards, but it’s a vital source of recreation and fun for those that call northwestern North Dakota home.

The ski area doubles as North Dakota’s only lift-serviced mountain bike park on the hill’s 350 feet of vertical.

Frost Fire sustained significant flooding damage to their downhill mountain bike and ski trails earlier this spring when heavy rains pounded the area. They applied for FEMA funding, but were unfortunately denied.

The ski area is now asking for help via GoFundMe with a goal of raising $50,000 to repair the damaged trails and ensure that they’re able to open for the Winter ’22-’23 season.

Consider throwing Frost Fire a couple of bucks if you’re able to. Small ski areas are the most vulnerable to natural disasters. We have to protect places like Frost Fire at all costs!
